Finding Peace With God
Man with arms outstretched
God loves you – yes you, very much! You are very special to Him – He knows all about you, and wants you to know Him. Life isn’t easy for any of us, but whether your path is rough or smooth, He is always by your side, offering you His strength, His comfort and His presence to help you make it through this world.

“God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life.”1

PRAYER: God, I’m not sure if you’re there, but if you truly love me and will accept me as I am, please reveal yourself to me.

Sadly, this world has turned away from its Creator, and is in turmoil as a result – just read the news! Even we ourselves cannot claim to be totally innocent. Who can say they’ve never had an unkind thought or have always put others first? But God wants to wipe the slate clean. He can do this for us, because Jesus dealt with this world’s wrongdoing, ours included, by dying in our place upon the cross. Exchanging His perfect life for ours, He paid the price to set us free.

“God has shown us how much he loves us — it was while we were still sinners that Jesus died for us!”2
“The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life found in Christ Jesus our Lord.”3

PRAYER: Jesus, thank you for what you did for me. Thank you for your love and forgiveness, and for making it possible for me to start again.

God wants us to experience His love every day. All He asks is that, with His help, we stop going our own way in life and turn to Him, allowing Him to guide and renew our lives from now on.

“Trust the Lord with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding. Always let him lead you, and he will show you the right way.”4

PRAYER: Loving God, I invite you to come in and make sense of my life. Help me to love and follow you always.

Of course, Jesus didn’t stay dead! Eye-witness accounts tell us that three days after Jesus died on the cross, He was back – very much alive once again. So in the same way, when we hand our life over to Him, He gives us a brand new start and power to live a new life.

“Anyone who belongs to Jesus is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new.”5

PRAYER: Jesus, I want to experience your love and power in my life and to know you personally. Please help me as I seek you with all my heart. Thank you.
