Meditation
lady with eyes closed
“WHATEVER IS TRUE, ... WHATEVER IS PURE, WHATEVER IS LOVELY ... IF ANYTHING IS EXCELLENT OR PRAISEWORTHY - THINK ABOUT SUCH THINGS.”
So wrote Rabbi Sha’ul of Tarsus in the 1st Century, and it’s good advice. When we empty our mind in regular meditation we have no way of filtering the energy that comes in, but instead by taking time to focus on what we already know to be positive, we gain new insight into the hope and wisdom found in such places as the ancient scriptures.
So, seek out your Creator; open yourself to His love. Try imagining your life as a vehicle, and invite your Creator into the driving seat. Call out to Him from the depths of your being, and be still.
To use the videos below in your time of meditation, focus on what you hear, turn the words over in your mind and drink in the depth of meaning; gain new insights, quietly pondering them deep within your soul. Spend time in His presence and listen for His voice. He wants to talk with you. Yes, you!
