So wrote Rabbi Sha’ul of Tarsus in the 1st Century, and it’s good advice. When we empty our mind in meditation we have no way of filtering the energy that comes in, but if we focus on what we already know to be positive, we gain new insight into the beneficial wisdom found in such places as the ancient scriptures.
