Have you come across “what3words”? It’s an app that’s revolutionising location finding, and could potentially save your life. Whether you want to find friends on a crowded beach, the correct stadium entrance or the exact countryside location, you can pinpoint the location to within 3 metres wherever it is in the world.

The app, which was devised 5 years ago by Chris Sheldrick, Mohan Ganesalingam and Jack Waley-Cohen, divides the world up into 3 metre squares. Each square has been given a unique 3 word address, e.g. daring.lion.race . So anyone can find a precise location on Earth with just three simple words.

“what3words” has proved its worth on a number of occasions, guiding emergency services to the site of an accident for instance, especially when the patient has been in a remote location.

On a spiritual level, here are three specific words which don’t pinpoint a location, but can change your life if you let them. They were written down 2,000 years ago:

“God is Love.”

God’s whole nature is love. Loving you comes naturally to Him. As a human being, you are the pinnacle of His creation.  To know that you’re passionately loved by the Creator of the Universe, that you were created to live in relationship with Him, and that you are of infinite value, despite what the world says, can be life-transforming.

In the song, “The Wonder of You”, Elvis Presley sang about someone who loved him no matter what. That is exactly what Jesus is like. We may not understand why He loves us, but He does. That doesn’t mean that we can live purely to please ourselves, i.e. me first, others last; because of His love for us, He seeks to steer us away from actions and attitudes that can harm ourselves and others. But the bottom line is that God loves you and wants to change your life.

Wouldn’t you want to know a God like that?
