HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! Today is a very special day if you’re fortunate enough to share it with someone special. Love is a wonderful thing, but it’s far more than just an emotion and greater than a nice feeling. It creates a close bond between us and our loved ones.

If we truly love someone, whether it’s a partner, a family member or even a perfect stranger, it affects the way we act towards them, it changes the way we treat one another, because love is not just something we feel, it’s something we do.

The best description of love that I have found comes from a First Century letter to Christians in ancient Corinth:

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. Love takes no pleasure in evil but rejoices over the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never ends.“
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
